My name is Susan and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have one son going to UNLV majoring in Architecture. I have been married for 33 years and never dreamed in a million years that I would get breast cancer. The scary thing to me is that roughly one in six women will get breast cancer at some point in their life. Pretty horrific odds……but the good news is that there are so many new treatments available that most breast cancers can be cured or at the least controlled and treated like a chronic illness. I have been on a journey for the last year getting through treatment and am now in remission and want to help make it a little easier for others by helping them cope and show them that there is life beyond breast cancer.

 I am writing a book about my experience in the hope that it will in some way help or inspire other women to make it a journey that will bring them guidance, hope, support and the courage to fight this disease and along the way hope they find a cure for breast cancer. I encourage you to pass this information on to anyone you love or know that is going through any stage of breast cancer. Together we can make a difference.
